Jazz drummer here, wanted to revisit some brush techniques and went back to Ed Thigpen's 'Sound of Brushes' book; anyhow, I did some researching in the process and learned that he had a practice pad specifically for brushes (Clayton Cameron digs it too). I tried multiple sites and everyone said it was no longer available or at least currently unavailable. Does anyone know if these are still made/ are they worth it if I manage to find one? Thanks all.Also, would anyone know what Ed Thigpen's snare is? I've been searching to no avail. It looks pretty damn wide.
